Community Housing

Earlier this year Veritas House were successful in obtaining registration as a Tier 3 Community Housing Provider. Being a community housing provider will enable us to grow our social housing capacity to provide more supported housing options for the clients we support.

Current Projects

Veritas House currently have two housing development projects thanks to funding from the Homes NSW Homeless Innovation Fund as part of the Reforming Temporary Accommodation Program:

Project 1

Location:  Orange

Type: Temporary and transitional accommodation

Size:  7 ensuite bedrooms

In partnership with Orange Uniting Church and Adaptive Architects project will transform a former Kindergarten Hall into a multi-purpose Supported Temporary Accommodation and Transitional housing property to provide a safe, secure and supported housing pathway for young people and families.

Project 2

Location:  Bathurst

Type: Temporary and transitional accommodation

Size:  3 villas

In partnership with Chandolin Construction project will deliver three villas to provide Supported Temporary Accommodation and Transitional housing property for young people and families.

Applying for Community Housing (also known as Social Housing)

Community housing provides secure, affordable, long-term rental accommodation for individuals and families living on low to moderate incomes.

In order to secure community housing, upon successful application you will be placed on a social housing waiting list that is accessible by all social housing providers.

Applications for community housing can be made via Housing NSW, either online at www.housingpathways.nsw.gov.au, or by calling 1800 422 322 (free to call).
