A gift in your Will is one of the most inspiring ways to leave a legacy to ensure that future generations of children and young people receive the support, care, and opportunities they deserve.
A gift in a Will, also known as a bequest or legacy, is a donation to charity given through a Will or other estate planning. It is a wonderful way to create a lasting impact.

Our funds and who they support
Mental Health Support Fund
In keeping with our mission and organisational values, the team are committed to creating a Mental Health Supports Fund, aimed at providing financial assistance to vulnerable individuals and families who could not otherwise access mental health supports. This MHS Fund has been a vision we’ve held for some time, and look forward to seeing it grow in coming months and years – reducing the cost barrier for some of those most in need.
Homelessness Everyday Needs Fund
As the name suggests, this fund assists us to better support young people who are in need of everyday items such as medication, haircuts, food staples, dental treatment, clothes and personal identification but do not have the financial means to be able to access them. Whilst Government funding and brokerage covers some things, unfortunately there is a shortfall where some things are just not able to be funded. This fund ensures that the young people who are already in crisis and are extremely vulnerable are able to access basic and often crucial things which most of us take for granted.
Transitional Youth Housing Appeal
With access to affordable housing continuing to be one of the greatest barriers for young people transitioning to independent living, Veritas House launched a fundraising appeal in 2018 to raise funds to purchase additional Transitional Youth Housing properties to assist young people in the region who are exiting crisis accommodation to transition into independent living.
Due to the support of the local community in recent years, we now own two transitional properties, located in Bathurst and Orange, which assist us to better support young people who are in a vulnerable situation and cannot return safely to their homes.
Employment and Education Fund
Many of the young people Veritas staff work with are overcoming some major obstacles in their lives and at the same time trying to continue their education or enter the workforce. For many, finding funds for necessary educational resources such as workboots for apprentices or books and laptops for students can be another barrier to try to overcome. To help with this, Veritas has established an Education and Employment Fund and will invest all donations received towards this fund, with the income earned annually used to support young people in the local region to pursue their vocational ambitions.
