At Veritas House, we provide a safe place to talk and work through problems in a relaxed, comfortable setting. We understand that everyone is different and that ‘one size doesn’t fit all’, so we work with you to create a unique treatment plan according to your specific needs and goals.
We understand that reaching out for assistance can feel like a very overwhelming and scary step for many. Because of this, we try and keep things as simple as possible at the outset. Giving us a call, or sending us an online enquiry is all that’s needed, and we will guide you through the rest. Don’t worry if you’re not sure if we can or can’t help – we can work that out together and go from there.
In your first appointment we will generally be hearing about the reasons why you’ve come to our service. We have some standard information we’ll cover with you, but most importantly we need to understand what the problem(s) seems to be, and what help you would like.
Mental health care and Medicare
If you’re coming in for an issue relating to the mental health of yourself or a loved one, it is often a good idea to see your GP, and ask them if they think a Mental Health Treatment Plan is appropriate. This will give us an overview of what your GP think may be happening, as well as give you access to a rebate through Medicare (eligibility criteria do apply).
Ultimately, our recommendation is to ask lots of questions of us or other service providers you may be considering and work out who will fit best for you and your situation.
